Gat Film is run by independent filmmaker, Animator and corporate media director Gat Powell.
Gat has over seven years experience as a filmmaker, directing projects for clients such as the World Health Organisation and pharmaceutical Giants such as Bayer and the ACT consortium. Gat’s work spans across a range of media from animating on televised programs, feature documentary, short films, sensitive awareness campaigns and an array of internet media and Motion-graphics to name but a few.
With a Masters degree from the prestigious National Film and Television School in Animation Direction and a BA in Animation (with first class honours,) in Animation, Gat has acquired a great wealth of education from some of the industries leading filmmakers and Animators.
Gat recently received backing from Creative England for his latest independent film, “Searching for Sunnyvale.”
Other notable works and experiences include working in-house for studios ForwardFor, Fettle and Double D productions (as an animator and Lead Animator.)
University lecturing. Various Illustration and graphic design and designing and animating for Kylie Minogue’s stage performance in 2015.
Gat has branched over a vast array of areas within the animation and filmmaking field both commercially and independently, but always, passionately.
